But he has left such an unprecedented mess and legacy of corruption that it'll probably take years to get to the bottom of it and to thoroughly clean house. I still remember back in 2008, seeing all the Democratic presidential hopefuls lined up on the stage and thinking "who would want the job now?! Little did we realize then what was to come and that nothing and no one in our history has left such damage in their wake. Not that I don't have confidence in Joe Biden. Between his decades of Senate experience, followed by eight years in the Executive Branch, he's certainly more prepared than anyone has been, but there is so much and it goes so deep - and too many of them are still there!
