Good journalism requires the journalist to report on facts, to get those facts, and see what those facts mean and represent. Stupid, slipshod journalism determines the narrative than looks for “facts” to support it. If those facts aren’t clear, they resort to “people in the administration say” or “sources report that . . . “ -- or they just out and out lie (as in the case of Fox).
