It's currently a 5-4 conservative majority court, with at least four of them set to retire in the next four years.

Obama wins: we have a 7-2 liberal supreme court. (Or, if not liberal, at least not Republican reactionary)

Romney wins: we have a 7-2 conservative court to sit there making Citizens United rulings for the next 30 years.

The question is simple: Do you want four more Sotomayor's on the Supreme Court or four more Scalias.
