iGen Politics Jill Wine-Banks and Victor Shi are joined by former NSC Director for European Affairs and Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman to talk about his book, "Here, Right Matters: An American Story" and for an inside look at the deterioration of democracy and the Russian threat in Eastern Europe. They also dive into what it was like serving the country during the Trump administration, testifying against President Trump during his first impeachment, and what it takes to stand up and take action for what you believe.

Previously, Colonel Vindman served as director of European Affairs on the White House National Security Council, title at Pentagon, a foreign area officer in U.S. embassies in Kyiv, Ukraine, and Moscow, Russia. Currently, Colonel Vindman is a doctoral student and a Foreign Policy Institute Fellow at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, a Pritzker Military fellow at the Lawfare Institute, a board member of the Renew Democracy Initiative, and a visiting fellow at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perry World House.
