But it could raise suspcions as to the sincerity of his conservative credentials. That's why the entire primary has been spent trying to find an "anyone but Mitt" candidate.

Of course in the end it doesn't matter because Republicans will only be voting against Obama and not FOR anyone. Just like a lot of us will be voting against the Republican and not necessarily FOR Obama. Tribalism wins out in the end.
