Senator Bernie Sanders didn't hold back this week when he went after the deficit hawks who always say that helping American citizens is too expensive, yet they continue to support our overblown military budgets. Congress is gifting the Pentagon a $778 BILLION budget for the coming year, an amount that is roughly 6 times more expensive than the one-time cost of the (current version) of the Build Back Better Act. The only difference is that one of these projects helps American citizens while the other gives billions in handouts to defense contractors. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.
