The Democratic Party looks out for the needs of people like me.

I don't want to live in a mean, nasty world where nothing works and the big fish eat the little fish. Where the people you meet are ignorant and logic gives way to magical thinking. Where if I have a problem, like being sick or impoverished, nobody helps me. Where mindless hate and fear rule the day.

My worst nightmare would be having to devote myself to somebody else's fairy tale religion or to live my life according to the dictates of a bloviating fool.

I bristle at being told what to do. Why would I want an authoritarian, or totalitarian, or dominionist, or fascist government controlling my every move, with neighbors and friends reporting my heresies?

Good government is in my self-interest.
