6. Sadly this is exactly who the GOP has been recruiting into Congress and State Legislatures.

Its part of their 35 year plan to literally own state and national government top to bottom. It began before the Tea Party movement and provided the basis for what became the "Freedom Caucus".

We saw this field tested in NC in the 90's when anyone who had a GOP seat in the legislature had to pass a conservative litmus test or they would be either primaried or scandal mongered out of office. They would be replaced by someone whose sense of "public service" in the office was whatever the GOP leaders told them.

There is also a bizarre Christo-fascist slant to this phenomenon in which only those professing a particularly bent Neo-fascist Christian Nationalist POV were "allowed" to run and continue in their seats. Mark Meadows is a product of this recruitment as are Thom Tillis and Madison Cawthorn.
