Remember that in advance of 1/6/2021, just about every motel and hotel in DC stopped taking reservations and shut up shop? Independent business decisions, based on the probability of getting trashed by groups known to be anti-social.

The law says you can’t discriminate on the basis of race and you have to accommodate disabilities. Doesn’t say you have to take in thugs.

On edit: AirBnB is a network of private citizens who rent out part of their residences by the night. From my point of view there’s always been an element of risk in this. I wonder if a whole flood of people in this network emailed the owners of AirBnB and expressed anxiety and relayed negative experiences?
