They could enforce this. Require the advertising departments to be wholly separate from the news divisions. The 3 networks used to do this voluntarily back in the days of Walter Cronkite. I am sure there are ways to do this but I am not an expert.

Where facts are muddy they must say so. It would at least stop the outright lies we see regularly on Fox, OAN, and Newsmax. The Big Lie is one of those clear cases where 70 courts have ruled there is no evidence.
