What does Mr. Hayes suggest? It's kind of ironic that he mentioned a magic wand since that's basically what it would take at present to reverse it in full. Or a time machine.

The answer, as it has always been, is to get more Democrats elected at all levels of government. It took the GOP 50 years to accomplish this, yet people seem to believe that Democrats should have it fixed in less than a week. It's going to be a very difficult, very long-term project. In the meantime, find workarounds and work with what we can to provide access to as many women as possible.

But, simply put, the genie is out of the bottle. There is no quick fix, the protestations of many notwithstanding.

The answer is not to blame it on Democrats, though that always seems to be the answer from many, even here on DU.
