Millionaire Republican Senator Thinks Social Security And Medicare Cost Too Much To Sustain - Ring of Fire [View all]



During an interview this week, Republican Senator Ron Johnson - worth an estimated $39 million - said that programs like Social Security and Medicare should be included in "discretionary spending" each year, which would give Congress the ability to slash funding for these programs. Johnson whined that these programs, and many other safety net programs, are on "automatic pilot" because we HAVE to fund them each year. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.
