How could so many rich white people be so absolutely wrong?

The only thing I can figure is they thought the fix was in. They ignored the polls as if they didn't even exist. They acted like only their little world was reality. They spent hundreds of millions of dollars and got nothing. The RepubliCON party is living in a fantasy land.
