6. I know a kid who got pulled over for speeding and had been drinking and admitted it.

He claims he did well on the field sobriety test, but they made him blow anyway. He was at like .079, just a hair under the limit. The cop tells him he doesn't trust the calibration on his breathalyzer and says another cop is on the way and they will make him blow again.

At that point I would have said, I don't think so, we're done here. I'm certain he should have but he blew again and was high enough to be arrested for DUI.

I think that's bullshit. If the legal limit is .08, you are saying just under that is okay. That cop couldn't have thought he would be much over in any case, so how much more of a threat could he have been? That is just wanting to get a guy because they can.
