and I just watch as we continually eschew simplicity for a more complicated and gratuitous lifestyle... it's not just idiots that we have to deal with... most people (including well-meaning) don't get it... most here on DU have given up discussing the damage that meat production causes, because even here on DU, many refuse to consider what their habits are doing... and Christians 
especially fundamentalists, welcome the demise of the earth so we can all live gloriously in their heaven
we do the best we can....
