Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony shows how DOJ's refusal to indict Mark Meadows comes home to roost [View all]

We are learning much from the transcripts being released by the January 6 House select committee regarding the insurrection investigation. Importantly, we are seeing some of the fallout from the Department of Justice's decision NOT to indict Mark Meadows and Dan Scavino for defying lawfully issued congressional subpoenas, thereby committing the crime of contempt of Congress.

Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony reveals that her first attorney,
Donald Trump's former White House counsel ethics attorney Stefan Passantino, told her that she should just defy the subpoena from the January 6 committee because DOJ didn't prosecute Meadows or Scavino when they defied subpoenas.

This video discusses the real-world consequences of the DOJ declining to indict high government officials like Meadows and Scavino for their crimes. - Glenn Kirschner - 01/03/2023.
