While Newsome, Harris and others could well make a good President, there are just some realities that while sad, are in fact in play in a national election. Just as many folks won't vote for someone who wants to improve gun control or support abortion, many also won't vote for anyone from CA, or a woman or a person of color. Some of those issues will likely plague Nikki Haley especially running as a Republican. I hate that these are facts in the 2020s but we have to decide where our moral stands have to bend so we can win elections, hold power and appoint sane judges and mitigate right wing and anti democratic extremism.
