Like in the fable of "The Frog and the Scorpion", it's their nature...

The real problem is Democrats not showing up to vote in 2010, a US Census year, which allowed the Rethuglicans to redraw and gerrymander the Congressional Districts in such a way as to basically control the US House and state legislatures until after the 2020 US Census. We may retain the White House and the US Senate until then, and we may recapture some governorships, but we've got a hard row to hoe to retake control of the House and/or state legislatures before the next US Census.

We screwed up big time in 2010, and it's biting us in the ass all over the country now...
