Kennedy's speech following Reagan's nomination of Bork in June '87:

"Robert Bork's America is a land in which women would be forced into back-alley abortions, blacks would sit at segregated lunch counters, rogue police could break down citizens' doors in midnight raids, schoolchildren could not be taught about evolution, writers and artists would be censored at the whim of government..."



This is a video of Kennedy questioning Bork directly during the October 1987 confirmation hearings.

"In Robert Bork's America, there is no room at the inn for blacks, and no place in the Constitution for women, and in our America, there should be no seat in the Supreme Court for Robert Bork," Kennedy began.
