THE SUPER SUPERCAPACITOR is a Finalist in the $200,000 FOCUS FORWARD Filmmaker Competition and is in the running to become the $100,000 Grand Prize Winner.
As the above statement and provided links indicate, this film was produced by videographer/students who produced it with this ''gee-whiz'' quality you mentioned in order to get people talking about the issue and to win the $100,000 prize. And they appear to have accomplished one and possibly both. The film was not designed to appeal to physicists, electrical engineers or other similarly inclined nerd-like humans. While these students are nerds mind you, they are of a different variety and come equipped with cameras.
