Our reaction should be: LOUD applause.

Unfortunately, it is an increasing problem with both parties that a push for reduction in rights is at the forefront of their thinking. Has been ever since Bush and his "Patriot" Act.

People here at DU seem to not see any parallel in the Patriot Act and repealing the 2nd Amendment. They see no connection (progression) between the Patriot Act and the NDAA which Obama signed at the end of 2011. They protest the illegal wars of Bush, and make excuses for those same wars, and new ones, when they are Obama's.

The people of our country have lost any semblance of consistency. We are all rooting for our teams (Dem/Repub), and not remembering that everything should be focused on the idea that we are free people, not fans of "teams."

Jones is loud, but when you read the statements above, you'd have to be nuts yourself to oppose those ideas. When is the time to get mad and raise your voice? I guess we have all become passive. It reflects a country wide depressive attitude. "Be polite." "Be professional." If someone slaps you, don't get mad. Just be nice.
