3. Really? Why should she not bring up these topics?

It would be kind of weird if she didn't don't you think? They are both major events in the life of Al Gore. I didn't hear the interview, but I would be surprised if she did it in an ungracious or rude way. If she did that it was wrong of her, but just the fact of bring up these two events - no that is not a reason for criticizing her, imo.
