Keep the Feds Out Of School Lunches (Thom Hartmann vs. Independent Women's Forum fellow) [View all]

Thom Hartmann debates Julie Gunlock, Senior Fellow-Independent Women's Forum & Director-IWF's 'Women for Food Freedom' project, who says she's all in favor of doing away with junk food in school vending machines, but not if the Federal Government is making the rules.

My comments:

Basically Gunlock was concern trolling throughout this interview by suggesting that only LOCAL school boards instead of the federal gov should be qualified to make school nutrition guidelines, repeatedly going off on "bureaucrats in Washington". Gunlock also suggested that some children are STARVING because of the health guidelines based on this story out of Chicago: "Workers who serve meals in Chicago Public Schools say the majority of kids are not eating the healthful new foods on the cafeteria menu, according to a confidential survey released Tuesday."
