145. Love it Lynne! Timing is perfect, cuz today is my 57th birthday!

Born in Baltimore, Md during one of the year's first snowstorms, Union Memorial Hospital on December 16, 1954. I was supposed to be a boy, but when I was the second daughter in 13 months born to Mom and Dad, they didn't have a name picked out. So they called me Nancy. Well, Nancy grew to be 6'1" and not a cute little Nancy. Also a little klutzy, socially inept, poor impulse control, high energy to the point that if they'd had Ritalin back then they probably would have OD'd me on it. Anyway, nothing's changed in almost 6 decades, I still can't sit still for very long. I denied my inner jock for too many years, since in the 60s girls were supposed to be weak and Big Men needed to protect them. I'm trying to make up for lost time, so I bike, I run, I walk miles, I play street hockey, volleyball, badminton and I row.

I'm Pink-O because I made a mistake: It's supposed to be Pink-OH. A play on Pinko, because I was called that by mean white men all through the Vietnam war when I was just a teenager. (Really mean to try to intimidate a young girl!) I own it now, I'm a total Pinko. I was married to a much younger guy about 15 years ago, but it didn't last and I'm happy being free of entanglements. I'm an agnostic, but boy! The personality profile of a Sagittarius fits me so perfectly, I have to wonder that even if God is a fairy tale, is there scientific value in astrology? (I doubt it, but it's a little scary!)

Ultimately, I became a progressive and sympathetic to those removed from the mainstream, because I never fit in myself. That was the spark that lit the fire: First you say: "What's wrong with me?" Then you say: "What's wrong with society that they don't accept me, when in America we're all supposed to be equal?" Then you say: "I'm gonna change society, so that people have to accept those out of the mainstream." And finally you say: "Eff Society, they can kiss my misfit ass." I'm at Stage Four even as I write this!!
