On 9-11 the owner of the local independent theater here in Palm Springs chose to keep his business open all day, telling his employees, "People are going to need somewhere to go..."
I went to an afternoon showing, and there were about 30 of us taking a break from the never-ending coverage of the tragedy.
That's the reason it's my favorite Woody Allen movie.

Interiors was depressing, which is why I loved it - such a huge departure for Allen.

Love and Death, followed closely by Take the Money and Run and Annie Hall.

He's an awful person, but Crimes and Misdemeanors is a brilliant film. Annie Hall too, but less so.
