7. If you have or can get an RV, that would probably be your best bet. Park it and live there.

Just to give you an idea, here's a story from today's paper:

http://www.oaoa.com/articles/expected-86775-leasing-apartments.html

Andalucia Apartments
Eighty units are expected to begin leasing by mid June.
Rent ranges from $1,099 for a 642-square-foot one bedroom to $2,439 for a 1,607-square-foot three-bedroom apartment.

We own some apartments and houses ourselves and have not had a vacancy in two years. I teach in the schools here, and the district appealed to teachers to allow new teachers hired from outside the city to stay in a spare bedroom. It's as tight as I've seen it, and I've lived here my whole life.

It will end, of course, as it always does, with a bust for several years, then again. We're in the middle of the worst drought ever for this area, and water rationing is in effect. We had a 2 hour power blackout today, so we'll be glad to those transmission lines going in - we've got hundreds of wind turbines sitting idle because there are no lines to transfer the electricity.

It's hit 100 several days already, and it will hit 100+ and stay there for most of June, July, August and September.

I hope this has been a little help. Send me a message through DU here if I can be of more assistance.

Thanks, kali, for the referral!
