My name is Grant. I grew up Catholic and every time the priest said “grant us peace”, I elbowed my sister. I live in Appleton, Wisconsin (pop. 75,000) about 35 miles south of Green Bay. GO PACKERS!

I own a one man electrical contracting business. I love classical music. Dvorak, Prokofiev, Ravel are some of my favorites. However, I have seen about 300 Rock ‘n Roll shows. I have seen Rush about 10 times and REO and Styx because they always are on tour. Mark Knopfler and Dire Straits are my favorite.

I stumbled into the lounge following a Google link about Emo Philips. That was about the time Governor Walker started his class warfare on unions and the middle class. I signed the recall petition the day it became available.
What gets me is the hypocrisy of the right. They say they want small government and no regulation and then try to control what goes on in our bedrooms. They want freedom but want to throw you in jail for smoking a joint. They say “all life is sacred” (abortion) and are all gung ho for the death penalty
.
I don’t get to GD very much. I come here to relax and enjoy the posts from the regulars….or maybe the irregular?. I love lol Cats, MFM, Amerigo, Scorpio, Lynne, Cal Peg and all the others. I often “borrow” some of the posts and take them back to my own little corner of the world and use them to continue the good fight on Facebook.
