I guess I could get by without, but I use it a lot. I guess it’s like I use to not have a computer and used public phones away from home. I was okay without a television for years. We used to be okay with local newspapers to read.

My kids can’t imagine their existence without a smartphone I think. I guess that is the trap of technology. If you break a rib, an X-ray can aid the doc. In the westerns Doc Adams would have to give it his best guess.

It’s good and bad. It’s up to you.
