Glad to meet you, LynneSin!
Been here many years and I spend way too many hours here it seems.
I am from the Democratic Wing of the Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party or, as I call it, the 'Pissed-off Wing of the Democratic Party.' Turns out I am less partisan than I once thought I was. I value policy and principle over party or politician, and certainly over personality. I don't follow anybody and I don't fall in line. Just not in my DNA. I have always been the one to say, 'Not me' when everybody else agreed on something. Show me a bandwagon and I will jump off it!
I fear the future of this country. I feel like I am witnessing us falling slowly over a cliff although most people believe our country is still salvageable with the institutions we have here and now. I think we are worse off than some of us want to admit. The goals we once had have been turned on their head and my faith in Americans to correct our course has been fading fast. However, the Occupy movement has given me new optimism and I have high hopes for the change it might usher in.
I went to a top university and have an MBA, but I never used that degree and it really means nothing to me. Most who know me would never ever guess it. LOL! I only share this because I want people to know that not all MBAs are Republicans who value money over everything else. Never have, never will.
