they won't be finding that she is no good at it. They will find that the job is too much for one person and will hire her an assistant (who WILL have experience - and lower pay - and do most of the work). Watch for this position to become available -- you will be just right for it.

Yes, I think I dosed this with a sprinkling of sarcasm. Like you, it pisses me off that well qualified people don't get a job because "networking" (i.e., who you know, not what you know) gets the job. I think it adds to the over-all dumbing down of America for people who lack the knowledge and experience to be hired for a job they can only marginally fulfill.
