57. Monte Hall, at the Dallas airport.

I think it was 1995. My sister and I were waiting to board a connecting flight, and we stepped outside for a smoke. Monte and his wife were just arriving at the airport. We said hi to him--or maybe just my sister said hi. Anyway, he smiled and said hello back to us.

How's that for a brush with greatness? Pretty lame, I know, but what can you do?

I also saw Victoria Principal at LAX, back in the early to mid-1980s. The woman was quite tiny and thin, almost to the point of emaciation. She had two bodyguards with her.

And I'm pretty sure I saw Vince Neil walking across Trafalgar Square, in late May of 2009, but we were pretty far apart, so I can't swear it was him. He had a bodyguard walking behind him and, on each arm, a blonde bombshell type in a minimal clothing (it was a very warm day) and spike heels.

Okay, one more: I passed Mr. T, while driving on the Harbor Freeway in Metro LA, again, back in the '80s. He was in a pretty snazzy convertible Mercedes, if I remember correctly.

I think that's about it for random celebrity encounters. But I'd like to meet Mickey Mouse, some day, because he's my cousin--well, my second cousin twice removed but that still counts, right?
