the liver and kidneys during a life threatening episode the prescriptive pain killers will exacerbate the downward cycle of ill health. Additionally, when a horse founders, develops abscesses, etc., it is almost 100% of the time due to poor farrier work. With race horses they like to leave the toes long, thinking that long toes grab more earth and allow the horse to run faster. Science does not prove that theory.
