I've been on furlough since March, and when I came back last week it had become a mostly remote job. Which I'm okay with, but my old chair was cheap and twenty years old at least, lol. What I bought isn't a regular office chair, it's a gaming chair. It is amazingly comfy, it has the lower and mid back support I need when I'm sitting straight up at the computer, and a high back for my head when I lean back. It was only 200 bucks, at Office Depot. Editing to add, Office Depot had a great selection on the floor to try, and that was what I wanted; they also had it in stock. And the prices were quite fair. I was not going to buy a chair I hadn't sat in. Not if I have to sit in it 3-4 days a week for 8 hours!
On another note, we went to three stores: Best Buy, Office Depot and Target. None of them was busy. Target had the most people; Best Buy had empty shelves and no customers, and Office Depot had almost no customers. The Best Buy looked like it was about to go out of business. Targwt looked kike they didn't have enough people to keep the store blocked and straightened up. Most people were wearing masks.
