48. This is the most intriguing thread I've seen on DU in a while.

I have long had a fantasy in which I just don't show up to work one day. I don't officially resign or tell any of my coworkers anything, just simply disappear and then never respond to phone calls, texts, emails, or knocks on my door at my house.

Of course I would have to empty my office very slowly, and bring all personal items home, over a period of time, so as to not arouse suspicion.
