I loved Scott and Bailey. 2 female detectives are the lead characters.
The Unforgotten is relatively new. The actress Nicola Walker has played in many UK shows that I like.
New Tricks is another series with 12 seasons. Retired detectives headed by a current woman detective superintendent. They solve cold cases.
Finally, Hamish Macbeth. This is based on a book series about a constable that lives in a small Scottish village. Robert Carlyle stars. He was also in Trainspotting and The Full Monty.
