3. In 1970 we got a 16 oz. loaf for .10

They were 10 for 1.00 every day at the regional grocery store I shopped at. Reisbeck's, S.E. Ohio

Just plain white bread. It wasn't Nickle's or Wonder Bread.

Before Covid-19 hit, I thought that it was pretty hard to find any item in any store for less than $1. That just seems to be the minimum price for any food product, from a fresh apple to a bag of frozen veggies.
