Yet another surprising kitten update [View all]

Just got back from the vet. My brother needs practice on sexing kittens. The two little ones are both male so Maggie will not be re-named Madoc. And the two gray are both female - he thought MAYBE one was a male. And, to be fair to him, it took the vet to confirm Madoc's gender, although I was suspicious, this morning.

But the kittens are all incredibly healthy. The vet was shocked at how alert and active the two little ones are. Smokey, Sootie are pretty much at the 1lb mark. Madoc is just a little lighter and Squeaker is close at .7. They can start on wet kitten food - not even a slurry - just out of the can. I'll keep some milk there for them and transition them to water.

And he's cleared me to give them a kitten flea bath, as long as I keep them from being chilled. Considering it's going to be 90, today, that shouldn't be a problem. Just no AC

So - mental readjustment needed when referring to these wonders by name.
