It's been eight days now since my laptop fell off the desk as I was rearranging things, smacking my shin, foot, ankle.

Holy moly!

The swelling. The deep, colorful bruises all around the foot. The lumps on my shin. The pain.

X-rayed yesterday. No damage to the bones, and the only continued recommendation is ice, elevation.

Any idea how long this could last? It's very painful. Google says 2-4 weeks or more.

Not seeking medical advice. Just comment of similar injury.
