The male mind is simple. Don't overthink us. If you see us doing something strange or stupid, and you think of a simple reason for it, and think, "surely it's not that simple", it is. If you're trying to figure one of us out, then try to remember the simple kind of thinking you did when you were about 5, and you'll probably be on the right track. And you want to know a secret from a longtime single guy? There's not a woman in the world who isn't much, much more attractive when she smiles or laughs, or does something kind. Unless, of course, she's a Republican politician or polemicist, in which case the smile/laugh are evil and kindness is off the table.

Hang in there. Better days will come. Don't let the clock tick you into the wrong relationship. And some day, the guy who stranded you will probably look back and regret it.
