(3,396 posts)17. We spent most of our lives in SLC, Ut along the Wasatch Range...
and hated the desert until we retired almost 8 years ago and started full-time RV'ing.
Since then we have spent many months in the desert, and have learned to love the differences between the dry lands and the VERY WET LANDS WHERE OUR DAUGHTER LIVES in Olympia Washington.
There is incredible beauty in this country. Sometimes you have to look for it, sometimes it smacks you upside the head and says "why didn't you see this 50 years age?"
Don't ever stop looking for the wonders & beauty of our incredible country.

Luckily nothing much in Chicago. Yet. With the seasons shifting seems February is our bad time now.
