our old kitties, only I was there to see the injury happen. Pickles fell off a shelf and was hanging on by one front leg, and the other one had snagged a blanket or something and was dangling it down below her. She strained the leg holding the blanket, I guess because it was at a weird angle and supporting a lot of weight. She refused to put any weight on it for the better part of a day, but seemed to get better fairly fast. (Although at her age it was hard to tell, since she mostly lounged around or slept. No more playing, really.)
