197. I'm GPV, so named because when I first poked my head into DU I wanted to be upfront about my

political affiliation. No hidden agendas here. I came here in 2001/2002 looking for political discourse with other left-leaning people, especially since I felt we all needed to band together in light of ** squatting in the White House. What I gained was a lovely community of people that I feel very comfortable with.

I live in Maine with my hubby and a couple of rambunctious kids. Am still mourning my kittehs, but I think this summer we shall be on the lookout for some kittens. We're hoping for fluffy puff-tail babies this time, but if there are shorthairs in need of taking we'll get those instead. (That's how it worked out last time, and it was lovely.)

I've become more and more of a homebody over the years. Love the classic Britcoms like "Monty Python" and "BlackAdder," as well as newer stuff like "IT Crowd." I also watch a lot of sci-fi, cop shows, lawyer shows, HGTV. I'm not much of a video gamer, but if I do play it's stuff like NeverWinter Nights, Dungeon Siege, Majesty, SimCity, Tetris.

It might surprise people to know: I love to watch cheerleading competitions on TV. And dance reality shows. And cheering reality shows.

If I could change something about myself: I would be a healthier person. No more aches and pains, overweight, anxiety, forgetfulness, or bipolar. I think I would be less of a homebody if those things were gone. *sigh*
