disproportionately the victims of scams. I keep worrying about getting to the point of cognitive decline in the not-too-distant-future where I am feeble-minded enough to fall for these things.

I hope I pass away first, but it doesn't always happen in that order. Both my parents were airheads in their last several months, fortunately my sister was watching over them. Those multi-multi-medication regimens often prescribed to seriously and chronically ill people would airheadize Einstein.

Anyway there is no offer or situation too urgent that one can't check it out here on DU first if one isn't sure, e.g. am I really going to be arrested in 48 hours if I don't send payment by gift card numbers or Venmo or Bitcoin to the IRS?
