CRAVE was just a way of getting away from using CRATE or CRANE again.

Then SOLVE, looking for an O. It took a while to get to DELVE, which btw, I see as another word that isn't used too often in everyday conversation. Seems to me that WORDLE likes these uncommon words.

Also, I seem to do well working backwards!
