5. OfficeMax clear strapping tape is inexpensive and works great as a "lint roller" for animal hair.

With all of our pets and three daughters who have a lot of black clothing, it comes in REALLY handy here.

As for shelf paper, our rabbit had somehow managed to cover the wall by his cage in urine. One day, while taking a piss, I looked over at his cage. Looked down at the toilet. Looked back at his cage and said, "No way." He'd been standing up to pee out of the cage.

We cleaned it up and put contact paper over that stretch of the wall to make it easy to clean. From then on I began sitting down to pee in that bathroom and he hasn't had a violation since. He uses his potty when we do. He bathes himself when we do. Let's just say he's on the "social" side.
