the only factor they can use to set prices is age. At least, that's what BCBS told me. It goes up every year. No more discounts for not smoking or anything else. Just age.

So a young person would be much cheaper for them to insure, if that's how their insurer operates. Which means you could be right about the subtle age discrimination.
