The name suits me, I can be a cranky bitch. My real name is Karen. I live in western PA on the OH border. I am a lifelong Democrat whose first vote was for McGovern. That makes me 58 years old. I am single, never married (but did try that living together thing for four years of my life). I live alone with my newly adopted cat, Sammy. We are just fine with the two of us, and I don't even think that I could live with anyone at this point.

I am an accountant for a trucking company. I've been there for (OMG) 10 years now---the longest I have ever stayed at one job. I usually get bored and have to make a change, but with my age, that has gotten harder to do.

I was born in this god-forsaken town that I am living in now. I did live in Houston for 14 years and ended back here when my parents got old and my dad got sick. It is not easy to be so far away, and the guilt was too much for me. So....here I am again. I hope to escape one day, but I am hard to uproot.

I try hard not to be a troublemaker, and I will continue that effort. It is easier to do on DU than in person, since I have time to think about whether or not I actually post something. Face to face, it all just comes out. You will notice that I don't post much----it is that thinking before I post thing. But I read a lot here and don't know what I would do without DU. You are all a great source of information and entertainment to me.
