Pile on! Dad is barely hangin on, kid is stranded in Albuquerque, can't help either... [View all]
Dad has been declining all of April, when he got COVID. The facility is horrible and we finally got the order for hospice and my sister is moving him TODAY... but already this morning he had an incident. Just keeled over passed out while walking to his room... refuses hospital, so what can we do?
His bloodwork has been tanking since he had Covid, and he just needs to let go
Mom passed a year ago on May 22. He had a major Cardiac event April 9 (and never had a history of heart stuff)
Pretty sure it's broken heart syndrome...Momma's angel is right nearby I feel, like she's waiting to take him home.
Youngest son was doing ok in Durango, but the GF had a mental health episode and got him to relocate back to her native Albuquerque...and promptly dumped him once she got home. SO instead of being on the streets, he's called my (literally) crazy ex for a place to crash... this man talks to himself on the regular and is bragging to Devin that he's got it so good, living in a big house but the gas it shut off so no shower.
He's trying to make the $250 ticket to his sister's place in NC, so both me and his sister are running Instacart and door dash all day today to get him out of there. He told me he "sold himself" last night to make $180 of the ticket...
I am not gonna judge but he must feel like he's trapped to go to such extreme measures.
The worst part is I can't physically do anything for either of them. I have to go to work and pretend it's all good...meanwhile my partner is keeping the car and running Instacart all day...
If we can scrape $80 for the ticket, and maybe some food for the kid for the ride, we'll get him safely to his sister who will care for him and help. I'm also pre-researching mental health for him to get therapy/meds for his own issues...
God, this life is exhausting sometimes...just when I think I dont have any tears left...
