your boss ... there are a lot of good suggestions here
some advice ..
1. no matter what do NOT resort to violence ...
prison is NOT a happy place ...

2. DO give as much advance notice as you can ...

3. it is possible for Temps to come in and do your job

4. if possible do some work from home ...
or if possible go in early or late and do
some light work ...
