catching one in Sabino Canyon. He tied the cat up in his jacket, threw it in the backseat, and went back Tucson. Stopped at a gas station to get something to drink and while he was inside saw his car driving off. The story goes that he borrowed a truck and chased his car down the road, After a bit the car started weaving erratically and drove off the side of the road. The door came open and the driver came out running. The bob cat came out the window on the other side. When the student got to the car, he found the jacket on the back seat, the headliner and upholstery shredded. The guy who stole the car said, "Mister, you got a lion in your car!"

Don't know how accurate this is, sort of scrapping the bottom of my memory.
